Enjoy an evening of classical music and experience with performances by Russian musicians Yulia Northridge (Violin) and Ekaterina Shetliffe (Piano) and will be joined by a special guest performer, Oxana Militsina (Violin).
Ekaterina Shetliffe is a graduate of Dargomizsky College of Music of Tula, which is situated about 200km south of Moscow. Ekaterina has enjoyed the career of a concert pianist, giving solo performances in the Russia, UK and Sweden. Ekaterina has accompanied choirs, vocalists and instrumentalists in the South West, as well as appeared in various venues and festivals of Devon, Midlands and London. Ekaterina is a dedicated piano teacher, working at Exeter University and Taunton College,as well as a founder of the educational studio ‘Creative Llama’.
Yulia Northridge, gained a postgraduate degree from the Petrozavodsk Music Academy of Russia, and was awarded the prize of ‘The Young Talent of Russia’ in 1992. Whilst in Russia, she performed extensively as a 1st violinist in a professional string quartet. Since 2008, Yulia has been based in Derby, where she is regularly seen performing at various concerts all over the East Midlands and South of England, appearing as a soloist with the Loughborough and the Derby Concert Orchestras.
Oxana Militsina is a graduate of Kazan Conservatorie of Russia. Since graduating, Oxana has performed extensively with leading symphony orchestras of Chuvashy, Udmurty and Tatarstan repubic. She is now based in Dawlish, Devon,where she is an active performer as a soloist and an orchestra member, as well as violin teacher.

The concert programme will include contrasting compositions from all music periods to suit all tastes. Performers are all graduates of Russia’s Music Academies.
